Angela Sterling
Seatle, Boston (USA), Amsterdam (Nederlands). At age 29, being Soloist dancer at Pacific Northwest Ballet, she suffered a career-ending back injury during a performance. Many months of recovery later, she turned to her second passion, photography.
After graduating she then moved to Europe where she quickly carved out a niche for herself creating stunning images for ballet companies using her instinctive dancer's timing and insight seamlessly. She photographs for companies all over the world notably Pacific Northwest Ballet (Seattle), Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Dutch National Ballet (Amsterdam), Boston Ballet, Alonzo King's LINES (San Francisco), & Dresden Semper Opera Ballet. Finally the perfect combination came together with her deciding to photograph dancers in a fashion style in the studio. This is where Angela's work is greatly enhanced by her dancer background, working along with the dancer to create the perfect position and along with ideal timing capturing their best moments.
